How to Organize Your PDF Document

  1. Upload File: Drag and drop your PDF document into the upload box, or click to browse files locally.
  2. Decrypt (If Encrypted): If your PDF is password protected, type the password in the decryption bar to open it locally.
  3. Rearrange Pages:
    • Desktop: Click and hold a page card, drag it to the desired position in the grid, and drop it.
    • Mobile: Tap the left/right arrow buttons on the page headers to swap positions step-by-step.
  4. Rotate Scanned Pages: Click the ↩ (rotate left) or ↪ (rotate right) buttons on specific page cards to align them.
  5. Remove Pages: Click the 🗑️ (trash) icon on any page card you wish to delete from the compiled PDF.
  6. Preview and Save:
    • Click 👁️ Preview Output to compile your PDF and inspect the layout in a new browser tab.
    • Click Download Organized PDF to compile and download your newly arranged PDF file.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is my document content secure and private?

Yes. The PDF organizer processes all operations client-side in your browser using local Javascript libraries (pdf-lib and pdf.js). No file uploads, page structures, or text data are transmitted or logged on DwellixTools servers.

Can I rotate all pages at once?

Yes. Use the Rotate All Left or Rotate All Right buttons in the toolbar to rotate every page in the document in 90-degree steps simultaneously.

Why do some pages display a lock icon or ask for a password?

If a PDF file is encrypted with a password by its author, standard PDF editors cannot parse the pages. You must enter the correct decryption password. The password is only used locally by your browser to unlock the document and is never sent over the network.

Does this tool support vector graphics and forms?

Yes. When page copy is executed via pdf-lib, page objects are duplicated along with their vector paths, text layers, embedded images, and custom fonts. Any active text layers or interactive form fields are preserved, though some signature annotations may be flattened in the output.
