Multiple Split Options Available

This tool features three distinct splitting modes to handle different workflows:

  1. Extract Specific Pages: Select specific page numbers visually by clicking on the page cards, or type a custom page range (e.g., 1-3, 5). The tool will compile only these selected pages into a single new PDF document.
  2. Split by Page Interval: Specify a page count interval X (e.g., 3). The tool will break your PDF into separate files, with each file containing exactly X pages (for instance, a 10-page document yields parts containing pages 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10).
  3. Split into Single Pages: Save every page of your PDF as an independent single-page PDF document. A 5-page PDF becomes 5 separate, individual files ready for download.

How to Split a PDF Step-by-Step

Follow these steps to divide your document:

  1. Upload Document: Drop a PDF document into the upload box or click to select a file from your hard drive.
  2. Select Split Mode: Choose your preferred mode (Extract Pages, Split by Interval, or Split to Single Pages).
  3. Configure Page Selections:
    • For Extract Pages, click the visual page cards to select pages, or write a comma-separated range (e.g. 1-4, 6).
    • For Split by Interval, enter the page count interval in the text input.
  4. Compile & Download: Click Split PDF. A list of downloadable parts will appear in the output panel. Click Download on individual parts, or download all generated files at once.

If you upload a password-protected PDF, the system will show a password input row. Enter the password, and the tool will decrypt the document page stream locally to perform the split.

Why do I need to approve multiple downloads?

When splitting a PDF into single pages, the browser attempts to download multiple files sequentially. Some browsers (like Chrome or Safari) block multiple automatic downloads by default for safety. If prompted, click Allow to let the tool save all your files.
